The age limit for the Head Constable (AWO/TPO) position is set between 18 to 27 years as on 01.07.2025, meaning applicants must be born not before 02nd July 1998 and not later than 01st July 2007 to be eligible. There are provisions for relaxation of the upper age limit applicable to certain categories: for SC/ST applicants, an additional 5 years is granted; for OBC applicants, an additional 3 years is provided; and for Ex-Servicemen applicants, relaxation is offered as per the prevailing government policy.

✅ Selection Process

The selection process for SSC Head Constable (AWO/TPO) includes a Computer Based Examination to assess candidates’ knowledge, followed by Physical Endurance & Measurement Test along with Document Verification to ensure physical fitness and authenticity of credentials, a Trade Test to evaluate technical skills, and a Test of English Word Processing to check typing proficiency.

💵 Application Fees

The application fee structure is as follows: candidates belonging to Women, SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from paying any fee (Nil). All other general category applicants are required to pay Rs.100/-. The payment must be made online through the available modes on the SSC portal.
