Explanation: No maximum age limit shall mean that the applicants should not have completed 60 years of age either on the date of notification or at the time of selection /appointment to the post.
Eligibility Criteria / Educational Qualification for the recruitment of TNPSC HO (as on 21 .10 .2022)
| Must possess MBBS degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India. |
| Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner within the meaning of the Tamil Nadu Medical Registration Act, 1914 (Tamil Nadu Act IV of 1914) |
| Must possess Diploma in Public Health awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India Or Must possess M.D.(Social and Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine) degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India: Or Must possess Diplomate of National Board in Community Health Medicine awarded by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi; Or Must possess Master of Public Health degree of any University recognized by the Medical Council of India; Provided that if candidates with the qualification specified in item (c) above are not available for appointment by direct recruitment, candidates who possess the qualifications specified in items (a) and (b) may be appointed, subject to the following conditions, namely:- (i) They shall acquire the said qualification within the period of their probation. Failing which, the appointing authority shall forthwith, by order, terminate their probation and discharge them from service; (ii) They shall execute a bond undertaking to serve the Government till they retire from service on attaining the age of Superannuation. |
